Welcome to the glorious, colourful world of Dorset Dahlias
I started growing dahlias over 10 years ago. Since then I have discovered dahlias in almost every colour you can imagine. They are colourful, jolly, bold flowers that positively lift the spirits. I grow around 800 plants a year in 80-100 varieties which yields thousands of blooms.
The dahlia season is roughly from August until the first frost usually in November although obviously we are subject to the the vagaries of the weather. Pretty hardy, dahlias withstand the heat of high summer and continue bringing us colour through autumn and into the chilly onset of winter. Each year I add to our range, divide and take cuttings to ensure thousands of flowers are available through the season.
